Doors and windows
Sagging or sticking doors, broken hinges, frame realignment, window sash and seal replacements, weather seals and threshold fixes.
Doors, windows, fascia, gutters, rot, roof repairs and the practical fixes most builders are too big to come out for.
The practical fixes most large builders are too big to come out for. Done properly, with the root cause checked, not just the surface tidied up.
Sagging or sticking doors, broken hinges, frame realignment, window sash and seal replacements, weather seals and threshold fixes.
Rotted or damaged fascia, gutter replacement, downpipe runs, leaf guard. Done before the next big rain, not after the ceiling stains.
Bearer and joist replacement, posts, rotted weatherboards, soffit timber, decking sub-frame repairs. Structural problems caught before they spread.
Tile replacement, flashing repairs, ridge pointing, surface grout and re-seal, small roof leaks. Practical roof work, not a re-roof.
Skirting, architrave, cornice, plaster patches, paint touch-up after the structural fix. Leaving the room tidy, not just safe.
A wet ceiling is not the leak. A sticking door is not the problem. Most building damage is a symptom, and quoting the visible fix without checking the source is how the same job comes back twice.
Roof, timber, fascia and structural fixes from recent BRT jobs across Canberra.

Which one is right depends on what BRT finds at the site visit, and what you actually want out of the job.
Replace what is broken with the same material, same shape. Cleanest, cheapest path when the rest of the building is in good order.
Use better materials in the same scope, so the same problem does not come back. Often cheaper than fixing the same fault twice in five years.
When the visible damage looks like a symptom, BRT investigates first, reports what we found and quotes the real fix. No surprise scope on the day.
Ben or Ryan will tell you straight which of these the job needs, before any work starts.
Sometimes the cause of the leak, the rot or the failed door is bigger than a quick fix. When that happens, BRT can either scope the larger renovation up front or stage the work so you only commit to the next step.
Some repairs are one component, one fix, done. Others are the symptom of something behind the wall. Ben or Ryan will walk you through which kind your job actually is.
Tell Ben or Ryan what is going wrong, where it is, and how urgent it is. Send a photo if you have one.
BRT comes out, looks at the visible damage and what is behind it, and tells you straight whether it is a patch fix or something bigger.
You get the scope and the cost in writing, including any extra work BRT recommends to avoid the problem coming back.
The work is done properly, the area is left clean and ready to use again. No dragging the job out longer than it needs to be.
Ben or Ryan walks the work with you, explains what was found and what was done, so you actually understand the fix.
BRT works across Canberra and the surrounding ACT, including Belconnen, Gungahlin, Woden, Weston Creek, Tuggeranong and nearby suburbs.
Yes. Smaller repair work is exactly what this scope is for, the kind of job most larger builders are too busy to come out for. Ben or Ryan will quote it the same way as a bigger build.
Yes. The site visit is free. We would rather see the job in person than quote off a photo, because the cause of the damage is often hidden from the camera.
Any extra scope is written up before BRT does it, with the cost and the timeline impact spelled out. You stay in control of what gets approved.
Yes. Tile replacement, flashing repairs, ridge pointing, surface seal and small leaks. Full re-roofs are a different scope and may be referred out.
Genuine emergencies are handled as fast as the schedule allows. Most non-urgent repairs are quoted within the week of the site visit.
Yes. BRT can leave the room ready to use again, including plaster patch, paint touch-up and trim work where the repair affected the finish.
Tell us what’s broken. We’ll come out, take a look, and give you a written, honest quote, even on smaller jobs.
